Faust German for fist is the debut studio album by German rock band Faust. It was recorded live on 21 September 1971 and released later in the same year through Polydor Records. Although it was never a commercial success, Faust has garnered much retrospective acclaim from rock critics. Before the release of their debut, Faust would. Faust IV is the fourth studio album by the German krautrock group Faust, released in 1973. The album is included in the book 1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die, where it is referred to as a krautrock classic. This was the last album by the first incarnation of the band, they returned in 1994 with the release of Rien featuring a different line-up. The album was recorded at the Manor Studio in England. As the sessions took too long to complete, producer Uwe Nettelbeck opted to complete the album. Faust IV. Coming on the heels of the cut-and-paste sound-collage schizophrenia of The Faust Tapes, Faust IV seems relatively subdued and conventional, though it's still a far cry from what anyone outside the German avant-garde rock scene was doing. Faust IV is a 1973 album by the German krautrock group Faust. The band did not release another album for 20 years, and with a different lineup. As the sessions took too long to complete, producer Uwe Nettelbeck opted to complete the album with material that was recorded at previous sessions in Wümme, Germany. These additions include Krautrock previously aired on the John Peel show and I. A song and album that need no introduction. Pure magic in audio form. I wanted there to be another solid version of the full track on youtube. This work made er, makes pretty, catchy, slightly disturbing noise. IV was Faust's second release for Richard Branson's fledgling Virgin Records. Faust IV is a great album by a great band. However, a lot of this bonus material also appear on the Wümme Years 1970-73 5 CD box set released in 2000, although with some songs under alternate titles. Awesome sound and very fun album. I am absolutely in love with Faust and think they are the most interesting and entertaining of the krautrock bands, always a fun and engaging listening experience. Faust IV Tracklist.
